How Full is your Arsenal?
Via Brett Foster
“Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings.”
I Peter 5:8-9 NIV
Weapons have certainly changed over the years. Take for example, in the Revolutionary War, the main weapons used were muskets, pistols and swords. Today, the list is endless. We have highly sophisticated weapons that pinpoint our enemies’ location and strike with precision. As our enemies have become more and more intelligent, so have our weapons.
The enemy is everywhere. He’s coming at us from every angle. As men, we are constantly being attacked by the things of this world that seek to destroy what God has created for good. It almost seems unfair at times. You can’t walk ten feet down the road without seeing a billboard or a magazine cover with images that pollute our minds and take us down a path we have no business being on. We live in a time where society tries to define what a real man is rather than the Bible.
Men, we’re in an intense battle and simple weapons are not going to work. We need a stockpile of advanced weaponry to fight our enemy every step of the way. No matter what he throws at us, we can be ready.
The Joshua Commission is designed for just that. We want to provide you with the right weapons for the right situations so that every day, every battle you face, you can fight with confidence knowing you’re prepared and equipped to take whatever the enemy throws your way.
Today’s Training: Examine your arsenal of weapons. Are you prepared for whatever the enemy has for you? Are you working every day to be the man God has called and equipping yourself with all the right weapons, or are you in the middle of a gunfight with only a knife in your hand?
