Proverbs 14: Wisdom Flows
“The mocker seeks wisdom and finds none, but knowledge comes easily to the discerning. Stay away from a fool, for you will not find knowledge on their lips.”
Proverbs 14:6-7 NIV
I heard about a meme the other that said “Wow your social media post about politics has change my mind and my vote, said no one, ever.” Online quarrels seem to take place everyday often with individuals that we believe to be as mindless as they are faceless. Imagine if we instead harnessed our energy, and our words to advance those things that God pursues.
Proverbs 14 reminds us to fear the Lord and not too bicker with His children. As Kingdom Men we often find ourselves in the space between the reality of God’s promises and the realization of its manifestation in our lives. It’s in this space that we have an important choice to make. We can either fall prey to folly and bickering or we can be Ambassadors for our King by spreading truth through wisdom, discernment and grace.
Today’s Training: Read Proverbs 14. Ask the Lord to highlight those area where we quarrel with fools. Keep in mind the fool may not be on the other end of the tweet, it may be the words and attitude we use as we craft our “genius” tweet. Paul says, “When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me. For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.” 1 Cor 13:11-12.
Look into the mirror, you are a Kingdom Man! You have been commissioned by Christ! Be His ambassador today, let only wisdom flow from your lips.
