2 Corinthians 13:14

May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all. 2 Corinthians 13:14

This year, we’re going to discuss Christian areas of concern in society. We’re going to talk about things that Christians are debating even among themselves. Our mission statement is: “The Kingdom is at war. You were created for victory. The Joshua Commission disciples Kingdom Men.”

In January, we’re talking about “absolutes”, which are things that we can’t negotiate away. As a Christian, these absolutes are the rock upon which we build our house. (Matthew 7:24–27) and are grounded in John 14:6 (as we discussed in week one). In week two, we discussed the authority of Jesus Christ. This week, we are going to discuss the absolute Being of God and how Human Beings share in God’s Being as his creations.

Why are we discussing this? We’re discussing this because: if Jesus is Lord….If his authority is absolute….If the Being of God is absolute….if all humans share this opportunity to grow closer to God…..then what does it mean to respect yourself and the other person if ever you are called to answer for or defend your beliefs?

That is what January is about. After that, we are going to APPLY our absolutes. Brothers, the growth of the spirit AntiChrist is real, and we have to talk about some things….

All that being said, let’s ask ourselves what is the Being of God the Father? Entire books are written on this topic. Christians believe that:

GOD IS ONE BEING BUT THREE CO-EQUAL AND CO-ETERNAL PERSONS OR ASPECTS:  May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all. 2 Corinthians 13:14

YET, GOD IS ONE FATHER OF ALL. There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call— one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all. Ephesians 4:4-7

GOD CANNOT BE APPROACHED EXCEPT THROUGH CHRIST. No one has seen the Father except the one who is from God; only he has seen the Father. John 6:46. “I AM WHO I AM. This is what you are to say to the Israelites: ‘I AM has sent me to you.’  Exodus 3:14.

JESUS IS THE IMAGE OF GOD. The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.Colossians 1:15. Jesus “is the IMAGE of the invisible God.”  God is invisible, unknowable, and incomprehensible.

Kingdom Men, therefore, worship God. We do what he says because he is God. We reserve the greatest respect for him. We recognize that God is above all things, even above our United States, our race, our culture and all the Heavens.
