Does God exist in me?
And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. 8 And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed. 9 And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil. 10 And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads.Gen 2:7-10
In Genesis1, we read the creation of everything, we read the “what.” Let’s dive into “the why”. In chapter two, verse 7 God chooses to form Man. Why? God already has everything, the splendor of the universe, the angels, this place of beauty we call home? Why make man and woman?
Before time began, God knew you and everyone around you, and before you. God knew that He would have His Son die on a cross for my sins, your sins, the sins of all mankind, all before time even started.
We had it all in Eden and even now; however, we all choose something over God. Many simply dismiss the existence of God. That only leaves a sheer feeling of emptiness and loneliness. God designed that space, and will fill it if we acknowledge our need for Him.
Alone is something I understand. I experienced it as a sailor sitting on a submarine deep in the ocean depths during Vietnam. Only a handful of people back home knew where we were on the submarine. Hardly anyone knew our exact position and why we were there. Yes, I understand alone, my family did as well. But I wasn’t alone! God knew exactly where I was and exactly what I needed to get through the days, weeks, and months of routine – He was with me!
Is God with you? Is He helping you get through each day? Do you hear from God?
This is a personal one on one relationship. Your needs are different than mine. You need a direct conversation with The God of the universe. To hear from God. you need to be in-tune with God and listen, which is different than to hear. You have a choice: let the world dictate the path you take today or ask the true (GPS) God’s Positioning System for guidance.
Things to do: Act and act Now! Get up off your butt and on your knees and Thank God for another day and all He has given you, then ask God what He wants for you today. Leave the big picture and your dreams aside for a moment and listen to what does God have for you TODAY! God Speaks to us every day, the questions are: Do we listen and then are we obedient to what he has asked of us?
raining and lost;
I don’t know my direction;
I don’t know which way to turn. Do I go left or right to get home? The road I’m on
has taken me nowhere.
I must change direction!
A sign ahead;
across my road,
and my chance at new life
starts at the hands of Christ
in my road!
