“Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. Consequently, whoever rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves.”
Romans 13:1-2 NIV
We give thanks today as the U.S.A. marks the transition from one president to another.
In our lives we have never known such a chaotic and troublesome transition, but we give thanks because we our Kingdom men and know that you are always in control. We ask for forgiveness over all those in our nation who have rebelled against the authority you have ordained. We pray for blessings over President Trump and all those in that administration for you placed them in those positions.
We will now have a new president and pray for Joseph Biden and the new administration. We pray for your wisdom, and the fruits of the spirit to be made manifest in their hearts and the work of their hands.
We pray that our nation remains covered by your hand of mercy and grace, that we seek to heal relationships and the divisions of race and beliefs, we seek to honor all life – especially the unborn, we seek to be used by you as a people to live and share the gospel of Jesus Christ.
In you Father, the Holy name of Jesus Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit. Amen
