“And he said to them, “ Do not be amazed; you are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who has been crucified. He has risen; He is not here; behold, here is the place where they laid Him. Mark 16: 6
While my Lenten journey for this season is over because of today being the day we celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus, our Lord and Savior, the lessons I have learned are now to be practiced throughout the rest of my life. For me, it’s been an arduous journey and one which taught me so many things that I had not planned on. Did this Lenten adventure bring me closer to God? Absolutely. It gave me another perspective of God’s love for me.
We are taught to confess our sins and that God is “faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9 Here’s the thing I learned, “have I accepted that forgiveness from God and then moved on?” We are at war with “ the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of this wickedness in the heavenly places.” Ephesians 6:12
I must accept God’s love and forgiveness of my sins, my shortcomings so I can move on! I must not linger and dwell on those sins which I have been forgiven of because my enemy knows it will make me ineffective on the battlefield.
Daily Battle Order:
Confess your sins, accept God’s love and forgiveness for your sins, and then move on! The reason for the celebration we have today is because of the sacrifice Jesus suffered to free us from the bondage of sin. Bear this in mind Kingdom Man; the tomb is empty, He is Risen!
