The Battlefield of Religion…Taking back the Ground

via TJC

“ I know your works, your labor, your patience, and that you cannot bear those who are evil. And you have tested those who say they are apostles and are not, and have found them liars; and you have persevered and have patience, and have labored for My name’s sake and have not become weary. Nevertheless, I have this against you, that you have left your first love. Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works, or else I will come to you quickly and remove your lampstand from its place – unless you repent.” Revelation 2 : 2-5

A few weeks ago we looked at the Intell for our churches. It was then we confirmed that We are the church. The title of that DBO was “Victory in Religion for the Kingdom Man. “

The Intell was accurate, the scripture references accurate, the Daily Battle Order itself good, perhaps even strong, yet it missed the mark.

I’m quite sure Victory in religion is not the right mantra. The battle has been won and we will have victory in heaven. I think regroup is the better term. We have all of us given ground to the enemy. I know for myself I really got into watching the service streamed over YouTube and listening to the sermon while lying on my bed. Irreverent to say the least.  We need to repent – regroup – plan our attack strategy – and redeploy.

Consider your own Intell; what is your battleground situation? What ground have you given up? Perhaps the question to ask yourself is “Why do I go to church?”

When you answer that question you will be prepared to take back the ground!

Daily Battle Order:

  1. Show up! That’s right, show up to your church!  Your male, manly presence is needed. Sacrifice the golf game, video game, sports games or whatever keeps you from taking your family to church.
  2. Study your pastors message for yourself! Do the scriptures he used really support what he is preaching? Does he use the scriptures? Do your wife and your children understand what they’re hearing at church? Do they believe what is being preached ? Do you?
  3. Volunteer to lead at your church. Stand at the door and welcome people to church, become an usher, drive the van or use your own car and bring those to church who cannot come on their own. Be involved to carry out the great commission to preach the gospel to all the nations…it starts at your own church.
  4. Do you cheer wildly for your favorite sports team or your kids teams and stand mute during praise and worship? Really??!!! Is that the example you want to set for your family?

When you regroup, plan your attack strategy and redeploy and take back the ground of religion you’ve given to the enemy, then here’s the promise:

“He who has an ear to hear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes I will give to eat from the tree of life, which is in the midst of the Paradise of God.” Revelation 2:7

That’s what I’m gonna do, what about you?
