“The Lord will cause your enemies who rise against you to be defeated before you. They shall come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways.” Deuteronomy 28:7
“You are the salt of the earth, and you are the light of the world” Matthew 5: 13-16
Throughout antiquity, scriptures and philosophers have addressed the areas of human culture that shape politics, business, relationships and spiritual warfare. For the next two weeks we will be shedding “light” on key cultural battlefields that have risen across the past, and certainly our American culture.
Light is power, darkness is not. Darkness enters where light has been extinguished.
We are going to talk about seven battlefields where darkness has entered and shapes our culture and the battles we see increasing in our midst.
These battlefields include education, business, government, arts and entertainment, media, family and religion/church.
Where Christians shed light and lead on these battlefields, darkness flees.
When Christians are passive, and do not lead, darkness fills that void.
Note: TJC does not subscribe to the “7 mountain mandate”, rooted in “dominion theology”. While underlying descriptions of the mountains are similar, we do not promote components of that theology paralleling “new age” teachings. As believers in God’s word, we know that in the last days the world will grow worse. Meanwhile we find it imperative to alert men of the hazards of passivity, and the evangelical call to share the good news across the globe.
Daily Battle Order:
Bring your notebooks to capture challenges you face daily. You will be receiving intelligence briefs on the evolving threat to the Kingdom on each of the battlefields for the next two weeks. You are impacted as school boards introduce new curriculums, businesses favor evil processes, governments introduce legislation that promotes death and corruption, news and entertainment no longer honors Godly values, media especially in a digital age polarizes, families crumble, and churches struggle to share God’s love to “nones” and God’s love for us through Jesus Christ.
Tomorrow, we’ll see how to have victory in our current media obsessed culture.
