The Victorious Man is Disciplined from the Lord

VIA TJC

Hebrews 12:11

No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.

Can I just be authentic and vulnerable with you men? I do not like discipline nor do I delight in it. Certain tasks are uncomfortable, take dedication, and quite frankly are no walk in the park. The less bumpy road seems more appealing, until you look back and are disappointed with yourself and how far you could have reached, but didn’t push yourself or flatout even try. I am writing for TJC now because of the discipline of the Lord. He placed others alongside me so I can grow not only as a writer, but as a Godly husband, father, and disciplemaker. We don’t just write Daily Battle Orders, we do life together and lock shields, gripping our Bible in the other hand and also call one another out if we stray. We own up to our mistakes and pray for one another, this is victory through discipline. We show up and when life gets heavy, we fill in the gaps for one another.

One more confession, I have almost given up on writing and walked out of TJC because of the discipline it has taken for me to stay consistent. The easy way out would have been to quit; however, I would have regretted it. God placed me in this Band of Brothers because He knows I need Godly men in my life and people I can turn to. TJC gives me purpose and God is building me for His victory.

One short example where He has used discipline right now in my life for victory is in my finances. He gave me a wife that helped me refocus my financial strategy and we were able to buy a vehicle with cash down. This discipline and victory took 3 years along with prayers and God’s timing. He will do the same for you just give Him your heart and then shoot for what He calls you to do.

Daily Battle Order: Read the snippet below from 2 Kings 13. Did you find it interesting what happens when discipline is lacking? It’s just the small things. Pick something the Lord has put on your heart and take the discipline and follow-through with it.

2 Kings 13:17

“Open the east window,” he said, and he opened it. “Shoot!” Elisha said, and he shot. “The Lord’s arrow of victory, the arrow of victory over…(insert your situation)
