What Does The Life of a Victorious Man Look Like?

“This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
Joshua 1: 8 – 9

When I was a younger man I enjoyed watching a show on Saturday afternoons entitled “The Wide World of Sports” It was on ABC and always opened with the host Jim McKay saying these words, “Spanning the Globe to bring you the constant variety of sports. The thrill of victory and the agony of defeat!” Now I’ve got to tell you, I was not much of a sports guy when I was younger; however, that phrase and Jim saying those words have stayed in my memory banks all my life.

One of the marks of the Life of a Victorious man is he learns from the agony of defeat and gets stronger and bolder which leads to victory over the very thing that defeated him before. The agony of defeat like the thrill of victory can be different for each one of us. The markers of a Victorious man are common to all men; however, as Kingdom Men, the difference is striking, the difference for us is Empowerment by the Holy Spirit! Jesus Christ has won the battle; we have been set free now we need to learn how to live as Victorious men in order to set other men free.

As our brother Paul puts it in his letter to the Romans, “Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession cannot be uttered.” Romans 8:26

All victories come with a price and Jesus Christ has paid the price for all of us! As Victorious Kingdom Men we can call on the Holy Spirit to embolden us, empower us, and make our way prosperous!

The Bible is full of stories of our brothers who led Victorious lives and something they had in common with us is this; they all knew the agony of defeat and the thrill of victory. Today, as Victorious Kingdom Men we have the power of the Holy Spirit in us. Now that is Victory!

Daily Battle Order: Set your eyes on the prize, learn from your defeats, seek the Holy Spirit for His help, His empowerment and be strong and of good courage and live victoriously Kingdom Man!
